Putting Our Patients First

Access helpful patient resources before your next visit.

Welcome, New Patients!

At Spectacles, it’s our goal that every new patient feels welcome and supported. That means during your first visit, our optometrist takes time to review your eye health and medical history, as well as carefully conducts an in-depth eye exam to diagnose any potential issues. From there, we’ll provide a thorough explanation of your needs, answer your questions, and create a tailored treatment plan of care. After all, your eyesight is precious, so we’ll do everything we can to protect it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? We’ve put together our most frequently asked patient questions here so you can get the answers you need. If you require further help, simply contact our office.

How often should I get my eyes checked?

We recommend having a comprehensive eye examination every year. In patients with eye disease, our team of eye doctors may suggest a more frequent schedule.

Do you offer diabetic eye exams and Plaquenil eye exams?

Yes, absolutely. We will do a thorough assessment of your total eye health and perform any additional testing that may be needed. We will promptly send a letter communicating the results to your primary care physician.

What ages do you see?

Ages 3 to 103!

What do I need to do to prepare for my appointment?

We keep it simple. We’ll need your vision card, if you have one, and your medical insurance cards. All patient forms are available on our website, so you can fill them out at your convenience or come in 15 minutes prior to your appointment to fill them out in the office.

Do I have to get drops in my eyes?

Because of our new Optomap wide-angle retinal imaging technology and Icare pressure reading, we can do most routine eye examinations completely drop-less! If your doctor has concerns or feels dilation will be needed additionally, they will discuss it with you first.

What if I can’t adjust to my new lenses?

Above all, we want you to be happy. You have 30 days to try out your new lenses. If you aren’t adapting to your new prescription or lens design, let us know, and we’ll swap them out. Please note, there can be an adaptation period of about two weeks if there is a large change to your prescription or you are trying progressives for the first time.

Do you offer glasses warranties and second-pair discounts?

Yes, of course. All frames and lenses we offer come with a 1 year warranty against regular breakages, scratches, and manufacturer’s defects. Premium frames and lenses have a 2-year warranty.
